C.A.U.S.E. Certification is a program designed to better protect consumers and employers by offering a means of hiring safer employees, contractors and subcontractors.

Annual criminal background checks are required on all employees, contractors & subcontractors before becoming C.A.U.S.E. Certified. Those companies participating in C.A.U.S.E. Certification will verify they are not sending known criminals into clients' homes or offices.

Certified Workers
Individual workers that have been screened following C.A.U.S.E. Certification Minimum Screening Standard may become C.A.U.S.E. Certified if they have not been convicted of any of the disqualifying offenses. Individuals that are C.A.U.S.E. Certified through their employer will be listed with the company of which they have been C.A.U.S.E. Certified. All individuals that are C.A.U.S.E. Certified will be issued a unique C.A.U.S.E. Certification number.

Certified Companies
C.A.U.S.E. Certified businesses screen all of their employees, contractors and subcontractors annually following C.A.U.S.E. Certification Minimum Screening Standards. If an individual has been convicted of any of the disqualifying offenses, they will not be C.A.U.S.E. Certified, listed on this website or have a C.A.U.S.E. Certification number. Businesses that are C.A.U.S.E. Certified have agreed to only send C.A.U.S.E. Certified individuals to consumers homes or in positions working with vulnerable populations.
